Why test code
It compiles; it’s done
Lying to users
Is much more fun.

I’ve walked past these windows,
many years of my life,
I look in, I see my future look out.
But now, something is different,
Another face looks back,
I see a stranger starring back at me.
My childhood is buried here,
in the shade of my dreams.
I’ve walked this way as a boy and a man,
And each time as I passed by,
I looked in the window,
My future was there starring back at me.
But now time has passed me by,
this future is not mine,
but I pass by the windows once again.
The face looking out can’t know,
of my now shattered dream,
of being the face looking back at me.

My life was drifting on the ocean,
The darkness all around fit like a glove,
Then I saw your face like a beacon,
I was saved by your undying love.
Your love is my anchor,
Your love is my rock,
Your love is the only thing that saves me.
Your love is my beacon,
Your love is my light,
It’s only through your love that I now see.
Now I have a course to follow,
I see with the light of the day,
Your love is always before me,
Lighting my world, showing the way.
Your love is my anchor,
Your love is my rock,
Your love is the only thing that saves me.
Your love is my beacon,
Your love is my light,
It’s only through your love that I now see.
It’s been many years since I first saw you,
I’ve followed your love for many a day,
You light shines brightly as ever,
Your love still shows me the way.
Your love is my anchor,
Your love is my rock,
Your love is the only thing that saves me.
Your love is my beacon,
Your love is my light,
It’s only through your love that I now see.

Coding is cool
It’s fun to do
Unless your boss
Is sniffing glue

Winter descends on the landscape
stealing color and life
Blanketing my world with a uniform of dull and lifeless color.
A bright spot
Color in a hazy brown world.
A fountain
Shooting streams of life and light into the air.
My vision clears,
as the fountain approaches.
Light and color,
beauty and wisdom,
fuse into one
as my lover approaches.

Your love is like a priceless vase,
I treat it with care,
I put it on a pedestal,
I treasure it above all else,
because I know it is fragile,
and I would be worthless without it.

Mountains are formed,
But soon they crumble,
Glaciers will come and will go,
But out Love is as timeless as the Universe,
and as pure as the new fallen snow.

Silence in my world,
Silence in a world of cacophony,
Deafening silence as the world screams around me.
Slicing through the silence,
The most melodious sound,
A note of pure beauty.
It fills my ears,
It fills my soul,
It is the sound of my lovers voice.
My world is alive at the sound of her voice,
It creates order from chaos,
It brings beauty to the darkness.
Sing my beautiful songbird,
Let your beacon be my guide,
For without you my world is lost.

The heavenly rain echoes the tears of my heart,
knowing that we are apart.
The sun does not shine,
the winds blow cold,
as my world slowly revolves.
Afternoon approaches,
the sun in my world starts to shine,
my heart knows that soon we will be together again.
As my world revolves into night,
my heart leaps for joy,
at the time we spend together.
As it also starts to wan,
knowing that tomorrow,
it will rain again.

I search for meaning among the rubble,
the ideas that litter the streets of my life,
so much chaff in the concrete field,
where I plant my crops.
There, among the chrome trees,
life has taken hold,
I watch as it grows, waiting,
wondering which of my ideas have taken root.
An image begins to form,
growing stronger still,
I catch my breath at the beauty,
stark against the landscape of gray.
I watch as the visage takes form,
I smile as I begin to understand,
I rush to nurture this precious jewel,
my undying love for you.
