It was a stupid fight,
it was a bad way to say goodbye.

False smiles,
false hugs,
false warm goodbyes,
but it was all a lie.

I know we won’t always agree on everything,
but I wish we could agree on this,
it’s ok to say good bye when we are mad,
but never an angry kiss.

A kiss is when out hearts touch
Our souls connected as one.
Two souls intertwined, in love unmarred,
should burn hotter the heart of a star.

I’ve walked past these windows,
many years of my life,
I look in, I see my future look out.
But now, something is different,
Another face looks back,
I see a stranger starring back at me.

My childhood is buried here,
in the shade of my dreams.
I’ve walked this way as a boy and a man,
And each time as I passed by,
I looked in the window,
My future was there starring back at me.

But now time has passed me by,
this future is not mine,
but I pass by the windows once again.
The face looking out can’t know,
