I search for meaning among the rubble,
the ideas that litter the streets of my life,
so much chaff in the concrete field,
where I plant my crops.

There, among the chrome trees,
life has taken hold,
I watch as it grows, waiting,
wondering which of my ideas have taken root.

An image begins to form,
growing stronger still,
I catch my breath at the beauty,
stark against the landscape of gray.

I watch as the visage takes form,
I smile as I begin to understand,
I rush to nurture this precious jewel,
my undying love for you.

We plant seeds of love
Our lives are the furrowed ground
Precious love springs forth.

Concentric Circles,
Our lives intermingled.
A Celtic knot,
Our love intertwined.
A Mobius strip,
You and I together.

We are separate,
as we are one.
Individuals,
as one being.
Separate parts,
that make up the whole.

Our love,
binds the universe together.
Our love,
makes us one.
Our love,
survives all.

Time without end
Love that does not know boundaries
Our life together.

It was your eyes that I first noticed.
It’s like they are two galaxies,
swimming in their own infinity.
They are the windows into your soul,
and yet works of art themselves.
The angels weep because they know they can never measure up.

On the surface,
they are what God meant when he said “beautiful”.
Each stolen glance, takes my breath away.
When they twinkle my heart leaps,
and when they tear, it’s like a dagger through my soul.
But when they blink, time stops for that instant.

I Think the thing I love the most,
is when I look deep within them,
I see love.
Oh sure, it was small at first,
but it has been growing since the first moment I saw them.
Words fail me as I try to describe it.
If you could measure eternity,
you still couldn’t measure the love I see, in your eyes.

As I gaze deeper, I see wisdom.
Solomon, in a stunning crystal vase.
It’s depths I cannot plumb,
and it’s breadth I cannot span,
I’ll have to be content to be contained in it, as I can’t contain it.

Most important of all though,
I see you and I together.
I see the love that we have shared,
and the lifetimes we have yet to live together.
I see your happiness, without which I do not exist.
When I look into your eyes, I see my future.

In a world where nothing is real,
Never doubt,
my love for you,
will last,
throughout the ages.

Alone, incomplete
Puzzle pieces on the floor,
Your soul completes me.

My Sweetest Kathy,

Even though we are a country apart, our hearts still beat as one. Every minute I’m away from you I feel is a moment of my life stolen from me. I long for the coming day when we are together again, my soul aches to be near you, to warm itself in your smile.

I know that soon we will again be together, until that day, I must be content with the precious memories of you that I harbor in my heart. Your smile, the smell of your hair, the sounds of your laugh; all of these are more precious to me than all my worldly possessions. They to me, represent the treasures I have laid up here on earth; my precious time with you. I guard them in my heart as they keep me company when we are apart.

Until we are in each others arms again my darling; I remain faithfully yours,
